Abstract:

Many people with HIV turn to complementary and alternative therapies to reduce
symptoms of the virus, lessen side effects from medications, improve overall health and
well-being, and for a sense of empowerment by being actively involved in their own care.
Different therapies are used to:
• Inhibit the virus
• Treat symptoms of the virus or side effects of medication
• Treat or prevent opportunistic infections
Since the major impact of HIV is that it leaves patients vulnerable to opportunistic
infections, making adjustments to ensure your overall health through improving stress
reduction, exercise, and building a social support network can significantly boost immune
function.
NCCAM approved homeopathy as an alternative medicine and you can find a lot of
institutes that train physician to work as a homeopath around the world. Homeopathy is a
system of therapy based on the concept that disease can be treated with drugs (in minute
doses) thought capable of producing the same symptoms in healthy people as the disease
itself. Homeopathy teaches that symptoms are to be encouraged, by prescribing a
"remedy" in minuscule doses that in large doses would produce the same symptoms seen
in the patient. These remedies are meant to stimulate the immune system, helping to cure
the illness, according to homeopathy. Remedy can help or stimulate vital force (or with
other concept immune system) and so theoretically can help to AIDS patient.
According to homeopathy philosophy remedy can make an acute and controllable
condition in a similar situation with illness. This condition sense by wise vital force and
response make exact cure. Hannemann (1755-1843) believed that god create cure for all
illness and he proved this, AIDS is not an exception.
One of the advantages of using homeopathy in treating people with AIDS is that they
tend to get various unusual symptoms, diseases, and syndromes which evade immediate
diagnosis. A homeopath, however, can prescribe a remedy before a definitive
conventional diagnosis is made. Because homeopathic medicines are prescribed on the
basis of a person's unique pattern of symptoms, a conventional diagnosis is not necessary
for a curative remedy to be prescribed.
